Our gourmet pizzas have become nearly as famous as Hopewell itself! Aside from our Anzac biscuit recipe, our pizza recipe is a top request. The key to a great pizza is the base…here’s how to do it!

Ingredients
  • 1 tbsp yeast
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
  1. Place into a bread machine and use 45-minute pizza cycle. 


  2. If Making by Hand:

    Mix the yeast, olive oil, sugar and warm water together in a bowl and leave for 20 minutes in a warm place to allow the yeast to activate.

    Add the flour and salt to form a dough. Knead and place in a bowl and allow to rise for another 20 minutes. Twist the dough in half and roll each dough into a circle on a floured surface. Top with your favourite pizza ingredients.

Requires a really hot oven for about 6 minutes depending on the amount and type of topping.
