We know road access is important when planning your stay, so here’s a clear overview of what to expect on Kenepuru Road over the coming months.
19 December – 12 January
Kenepuru Road is fully open, with no closures during this period.
12 January – 9 February
There are no hard closures. Traffic will be managed with stop/go, so you may experience short waits of a few minutes at times.
From 9 February – end of April
Weekday access will be managed with scheduled openings:
Open until 9.30am
Open again from 12.00pm for 30 minutes
Open again at 3.00pm for 5 minutes
The road will be fully open every weekend.
