As the Marlborough Sounds settles into winter, Hopewell Lodge is taking a short seasonal break. While we are officially closed, we are still happy to receive enquiries and bookings for the coming season. We will reopen in spring, ready to welcome guests back to our peaceful waterfront paradise.
Hopewell is a fully self-catering lodge featuring a spacious fully equipped commercial-style kitchen, complimentary herbs from our garden, pantry essentials, condiments, and multiple BBQs for relaxed outdoor dining. Guests can also arrange grocery deliveries ahead of their stay. Complimentary activities include kayaks, paddleboards, mountain bikes, fishing gear, and our spa pool, all included in the accommodation rate.
To make access even easier, we are planning affordable water taxi transfers from Havelock, offering a scenic alternative when road access is restricted. Whether you’re seeking a romantic escape, family gathering, wellness retreat, special celebration, or group adventure, Hopewell offers an affordable and memorable way to experience the natural beauty and tranquillity of the Marlborough Sounds.
