Your credit card is not charged when you book online, you pay when you stay.
Free cancellation if you give us at least 72 hours notice except for Public Holidays and Long Weekends where we require at least 2 weeks notice.
Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be received in writing. Please email us at stay@hopewell.co.nz.
Cancellations made more than 72 hours prior to your scheduled arrival incur no charge.
Cancellations made within 72 hours of arrival will incur a one-night cancellation fee.
Cancellations made on the day of arrival may be charged the full value of the booking, unless we are able to rebook the room.
We appreciate your understanding. As a small, family-run lodge in a remote location, late cancellations can be difficult to refill, and this policy helps us keep things running smoothly for everyone.
If you are making a group booking (more than 12 people), please email or phone us directly, we require a 10% non-refundable deposit for all group bookings and full payment is required 7 days in advance.
NO EXTRA HIDDEN CHARGES
Our price includes all your linen and cleaning fees, free use of kayaks, mountain bikes, paddle boards, hot tub, fishing dinghies and equipment. Free unlimited high speed WIFI and we have no debit card or credit card fees. And use of our moorings during your stay is complimentary too.
Contact us directly if you are interested in staying at Hopewell for Christmas or New Year, it is by enquiry only.
You can drive, boat, kayak, bike or fly to Hopewell. The drive is around the Kenepuru Sound is very scenic as it winds around the coastline. It is under repair and there are a number of places where it is one way only. It takes around 2.5 hours to drive here from Havelock or Picton. You can shortcut the drive by taking a water taxi across the Sound from Te Mahia Bay. This costs $30 per adult and $15 per child one way and saves you 1.5 hours of driving. Or you can take a water taxi from Havelock or two connecting water taxis from Picton.
